Step by Step Process

Step 1: Showroom Visit

All initial design consultations, in one of our design showrooms are complimentary. During our first meeting you can expect to spend about an hour with us. We will discuss your design and material options along with estimated timing and what you’re thinking of investing in your project. We’ll also give you general reasonable pricing for projects similar to yours. Please bring existing photos of your space, as well as your Pinterest Board and Houzz Idea Book.

Step 2: In Home Measure

Next we will schedule a site visit to confirm your design scope and budget. This service is complementary, as well. We’ll measure and photograph your space. We also take a picture of your electrical panel and adjacent rooms and other information we’ll need for the next phases of our process.

Step 3: Design Presentation

Your designer will arrange a follow up meeting in one of our showrooms for the initial design presentation. Presentations consist of the conceptual 3D images of your space, color and material selections and a proposed budget range for your project.

Step 4 & 5: Pre-Construction Meeting & Contract

Once we have captured the essence of your vision, we require a Design Development. This fee varies depending on the size and scope of the project. At this point we schedule a job site visit with one of our project managers and all of our trades needed to complete your project. In addition, AB&K will present a contract for your entire project once we’ve confirmed the scope of work and pricing with our trade professionals. At this meeting, we’ll review all of the final material selection, design drawings, the full scope of work and proposed schedule, for your project.
