Every homeowner has a wish list. For this couple, it was simple—ditch the oversized bathtub that never got used, make the shower big enough for two (with spa-worthy gadgets, please), and create a dedicated, light-filled space for her makeup routine. Oh, and while we’re at it—more storage. Because what good is a sprawling master bathroom if the closets are too small?
From Tub Trap to Transformation
The existing bathroom, built in the early 2000s, had all the hallmarks of the era: fluted cabinet fillers, polished brass, bulky moldings, and a corner tub with a giant deck that ate up valuable square footage. The shower, meanwhile, was undersized and already failing. In short, the space was large but poorly used.

The solution? Start fresh. Removing the tub and deck instantly opened up the window wall, creating room for a brand-new vanity and a spacious sit-down makeup area. The former makeup nook was reimagined as a linen closet, proving that even in a generous suite, smart storage makes all the difference.
The Spa Experience
The new shower is no afterthought—it’s the star of the remodel. Built large enough for two, it combines luxury and technology. A digital keypad allows each user to customize their experience, from the invigorating spray of body jets to the soothing rainfall from a square ceiling-mounted shower head. A multifunctional hand shower on a slide bar adds flexibility, while a wide quartz-topped bench offers a place to sit back and enjoy it all.
To make the shower both beautiful and practical, a false wall was constructed to insulate plumbing on the exterior wall. Hidden niches near the bench keep shampoos neatly stashed. A linear drain and frameless glass door maintain the clean, modern aesthetic.

The finishes carry the design: glossy subway tile, hex mosaic on the floor, and a show-stopping marble-and-mirror mosaic feature wall that sparkles behind the water streams. A new ceiling above the shower houses recessed lighting, plus hidden LED strips for ambient glow when the main lights are off.
Her Space, His Space
Both partners got what they wanted in the redesign. He now enjoys a spa-level shower tailored to his preferences. She has a makeup area bathed in natural light, complete with a countertop cabinet that hides a quad outlet for styling tools, wide drawers for hair appliances, and countertop doors that neatly corral cosmetics.
Across the room, a second vanity sits where the tub once lived, balancing the space. Matching dark-stained cabinets with sleek chrome fixtures and Cambria quartz countertops tie the room together. The dramatic contrast of dark wood against light marble-look flooring gives the entire suite a glamorous yet grounded feel.

Closets, Finally Done Right
The remodel didn’t stop at the bathroom. A new pocket door leads to a reimagined closet, where a custom slat wall displays hats, handbags, scarves, and jewelry. Shoes line the remaining walls, transforming storage into a boutique-like experience.

A New Definition of Luxury
Gone are the outdated finishes and wasted corners. In their place: a functional, glamorous, and personalized master suite. From the shimmering tile feature wall to the high-tech shower to the boutique closet, every inch now works—and sparkles—with purpose.
